California Disaster Relief

Updated: Jan 31

Wednesday began with farewells, tears, and prayers from the family. Diana, Andre, and Naomi left for school at 7:00am while David and Reuben headed south to Omaha. Reuben was able to stay with dear friends Bill & Deb Dickey for the day which made it possible for David to do his prison visits. The Dickeys then brought Reuben to meet up with David at the final prison located near Eppley Airfield. This was an extreme blessing because it allowed David to maximize his time at the prisons before catching the 5:25pm flight.

David and Reuben’s flight left from Omaha at 5:25pm CST, stopped in Phoenix for a short layover (complete with Chick-fil-a), and landed in LA at 8:37pm PST.

They are staying in Riverside with family-in-Christ, Marty & Lore Hooper, whom David met on the mission field in Joplin, MO after the tornado in 2011.

This morning (Thursday) they will travel to Monrovia, California where they will meet up with Calvary Disaster Relief to receive their marching orders.
