It's been a great few days out in California. Sunday meant David and Reuben were able to make the journey north to Vacaville, CA where his brother, Brandon, is incarcerated. Jesus sent them to see him with a message of salvation, forgiveness, redemption, and reconciliation. His response: He is waiting for the light-switch of faith to come on.
Join us in praying exactly that. LORD Jesus Christ for You to turn on the light-switch for Brandon Ruiz. You said to ask anything in Your name and You would do it. We know Your promises are true, so we await Your time to bring true, uncompromising faith to Brandon, soon, in Your time Father God. Only You can open His eyes, LORD Jesus, Amen.

After another overnight in their car protecting the food tent, on Monday, David and Reuben were able to spend some time regrouping at the beach for a few hours after serving breakfast. The water was extremely cold, but it was refreshing to take in God's creation.
In Altadena where they are serving, U-Turn for Christ has had their food truck set up. Many groups are bringing in volunteers. On Monday, A youth group from Compton brough in some troubled teens to serve and make signs of HOPE (shown below).
From L to R: 1) Gathering in the food tent tent with servants and survivors. 2) Reuben and David working in the food truck preparing potatoes for breakfast burritos. 3) Sign of HOPE put up by the youth from Compton.
